We at ORION WEB are happy to report that Hellios Information has renewed our FSQS registration, putting us in good standing as a fully registered supplier through to October 2027.
The Financial Services Qualification System (FSQS) is the due-diligence standard of choice for the financial services industry in the UK and Ireland. It is relied upon by a host of buying organisations to vet their third parties, from Lloyds Banking Group, Nationwide and Santander to Deutsche Bank, Monzo, Beazley and the Bank of England. To put its name forward for registration, a supplier has to put in the work on an extensive, dynamic questionnaire that runs over twenty risk areas. These range from data privacy and cyber security to operational resilience, ESG, financial crime and modern slavery, with AI usage becoming a more prominent consideration. Its annual renewal gives buyers confidence in the currency and validity of the data.
This has practical benefits for our clients. Given the onerous regulatory landscape - DORA and the PRA’s SS2/21 outsourcing rules being case in point - bringing on a new supplier is not an effortless task for a financial institution. With our FSQS status, procurement and risk teams can find all the necessary assurance on a single platform without having to go through a protracted vetting exercise. We consider this as a baseline, meeting the governance and compliance standards expected from us in the field, rather than one more badge.
